Adam & Kristen – Preview
This past weekend was our dear friends Adam and Kristen‘s wedding! We don’t often get to attend a wedding, but when we do, you KNOW it’s going to be an amazing day. I had the honor of being one of Adam’s groomsmen. I met Adam in 2002 while working for a summer camp on Lake Erie (Beulah Beach), since that summer (and the four that came after it) we’ve been great friends, house mates, creative collaborators, a sounding board for ideas for ideas both crazy and kind, fierce Mario Cart competitors, and so much more. I couldn’t be happier for the two of them and the love they have found in each other.
Our amazing Associate Photographer Anna officially photographed their wedding along with our brilliant Videographer Josh, but I couldn’t resist being part of their portraits and a few other miscellaneous opportunities throughout the day myself. We all can’t wait to see the outstanding work that Anna and Josh did that day, but in the meanwhile, here are a few shots from my perspective.

Five Months – Behind the Scenes
As photographers and parents we LOVE capturing images of #babyderkin. George is our constant muse and source of joy, he makes it easy (along with an iPhone) So naturally, we discussed ideas of how we should create an image for each month of his first year (feeling somewhat compelled to do so by the current trend of parents and images FILLING the internet.) Prior to his birth many brilliant and creative ideas were discussed, then George was born and we found one ingredient lacking…time. As it happened Benjamin took several Polaroid images during our first month as a family and thus the tradition began.
Today we are sharing with you the behind the scenes glimpse at the making of a monthly Polaroid. Benjamin got creative and fancy with month number five, using his Graflex 4×5 Speed Graphic camera testing out his New 55 film. Happy Monday and happy five months George!

This is a great opportunity to have a quick photo session and create awesome images with our principle photographer Benjamin Derkin! Whether you are looking to capture your family for holiday cards and gifts, update the family photo wall or snag a mini engagement or maternity session, this is your opportunity!
Our Sessions will be held 10.11.15 with a rain date of 10.18.15. Each session is only $210 and includes 30-40 final images, full edited with the full printing rights!
