We have the the privilege to work with some AWESOME and OUTSTANDING vendors throughout the year! We are excited to share some of these venues and artists with you on our blog! Today is all about Dock 580 in Columbus, OH.

We have had the privilege to shoot many weddings at this awesome, downtown, urban location! Dock 580 operates out of the historic Smith Bro’s Hardware building, offering two unique event spaces, the Venue & the Loft, as well as outdoor green spaces and great views of the city.
From the urban aesthetics, exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors, large windows and steel beams, to the on location catering and elegant dining options, Dock 580 is a premier wedding location and we enjoy every opportunity to partner with them to make a fabulous images and memories for our clients.

Designing and creating a room is fun, building an environment is even more fun and challenging! When creating George’s room we thought about how we wanted the room to feel, what we wanted George to grow up looking at, thinking about and how we could make the most of each investment and piece for future babies and family. the result was better than we could have imaged! Here it is; a peaceful and loving space, calm, fun, useful and filled with personal & intentional expressions of love, art and family! In the few short weeks we have been home, Benjamin, George and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time in his room, even those late night feedings and especially the cuddles & snuggles; we hope you enjoy the space as well.

As we prayed for George in the womb and to this day, we pray that he would grow to be both courageous and kind. Benjamin and I made this piece that hangs above his crib. It was a collaboration, I watercolored the background and Benjamin lettered the words. An expression of love and prayer from mom & dad.
The above piece is the catalyst and culmination of art, family and love for the room. Each image represents an individual memory and aspect of George’s parents, grandparents and great grandparents. My mom drew and painted each image with love and as it hangs above his crib now and in his future rooms, we are and will continue to tell George stories and memories of his heritage of love.

Hello sunshine print (Rifle Paper), a gift from G&G Derkin and a dear nickname for Benjamin as a child.
Handmade, soft, warm blanket from Aunt Courtney, made with love for George!

Special teddy from Daddy. Also, Go Tigers!

Art from Rifle Paper. Diaper bag from Oemi Baby.

Love the soft and simple Aden & Anais linens, swaddlers, loveis and blankets.

Investing in a comfortable and beautiful rocker is something I am very glad we did! I have already spent countless hours in this chair and will spend many, many more! This is the West Elm Graham Glider in a custom heathered wool blend.
George has spent his first several weeks sleeping in his Restoration Hardware moses basket. Snuggled with RH Lamby.

Words escape me as I try to express the joy, love and blessing I feel as we welcomed our son this Sunday. The love I feel and am overwhelmed by is not only for dear George but also for my amazing Husband. He is already a loving & selfless father, a Godly example of courage and truth, but he also has been and continues to be my rock, my best friend, my love. Benjamin was my constant during pregnancy and even more so in labor. When we arrived home this week from the hospital Benjamin had the most loving array of flowers delivered with the following song. Thank you Benjamin, for letting me be the rose of your heart, You (& George) are the joy of mine!
